[AMCA Toronto] Aleksandra Srsa Benko assumes Chair of Croatian Language and Culture at University of Waterloo

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce that as of September 1st, 2015, last year’s AMCA Toronto scholarship recipient and current Secretary of AMCA Toronto Board of Directors, Aleksandra Srsa Benko, has assumed the North America’s only Chair of Croatian Language and Culture in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies, Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo. Aleksandra will be teaching all five courses, which include Croatian language, literature and culture.
The Chair of Croatian Language and Culture was established at the University of Waterloo in 1989 with the financial support of the Croatian diaspora.

We wish Aleksandra all the best in her new position.
